SUMPAK
Lolium perenne
- Persistant grazing type
- Very early spring growth
- Conservation as hay or silage
- Better salt tolerance than average for forage PRG
Early start in spring
SUMPAK starts growth early in spring, thus profiting of the humidity from the winter allowing best possible yields in case of early drought.
Grazing & Conservation
The total dry matter production is high, with options for:
- grazing (diploid dense variety)
- few stems in regrowth
- conservation as hay/silage (early and big 1st cut)
- mixed use
Good disease tolerance
The overall disease resistance ensures palatability for grazing animals and conservation with good forage quality.
Extra
SUMPAK shows much better salt tolerance than average for PRG. This could be an advantage in coastal areas or saline soils.
