TAPPIANA

TAPPIANA

Lolium perenne

Perennial ryegrass

Large spring window and excellent rust tolerance

Large spring window

With almost 64 days from spring growth start to heading, TAPPIANA  leaves a large window in the spring to obtain quality forage whether exploited for conservation or grazing.
The early start also leads to a total high yield of the spring and early summer cuts, ensuring a high production before eventual summer drought compromises the growth for the rest of the season.

Excellent disease tolerance

With a score of 7,7 TAPPIANA is one of the most rust tolerant varieties in the range of tetraploids heading from 3 days before to 3 days after TAPPIANA.  The good tolerance to leaf spot and various diseases allows high palatability and forage quality throughout the season.

  • Early start in spring with large spring window
  • Excellent rust tolerance
  • Late heading type, producing before summer drought
  • Versatile for grazing and cutting
