Lolium multiflorum

Italian ryegrass

Excellent yield & yield distribution

The strengths of an Italian ryegrass
KURI 1 is producing high yields with excellent quality in the spring. The good spring performance is completed by good summer/autumn growth, for a high annual yield. The summer/autumn production accounts for 25-30% of the total yield.

Easy conservation
With a higher drymatter content than a tetraploid variety, the conservation as hay or silage is much easier. The excellent lodging tolerance secures quality and yield and allows better regrowth.

Preserving forage quality
Kuri 1 has a very high rust tolerance to maintain forage palatability and quality during the summer/autumn period where this disease is frequent.

  • High spring yield + good summmer/autumn growth
  • Good resistance to rust and viruses
  • Few stems in regrowth
  • Excellent standability
