Adapted to Conservation!
Continued selection for leafy regrowth has made some newer Italians more difficult to dry and ensile or conserve as hay. FOX doesn't have this inconvenience as it gives quite a lot of stems in the cuts following the main heading. Cut in due time this doesn't mean a degradation of forage quality. FOX is diploid and has high dry matter content – combined with good lodging tolerance this gives increased security in the conservation operation.
More Grass Right from the Start
Fox installs rapidly and has shown DM yield of 114% of the standard variety in the sowing year as well as good tolerance to Rhynchosporium, mildew and ryegrass mosaic virus.
