While you are carving out perfect curves in the snow as you come down the piste, have you ever thought what might be under the snow and what happens in the summer?
At the three valleys ski resort of Meribel in France there is a beautiful golf course sleeping under the pistes. The initial holes were designed by the golf course architect Spreacher and the 9 hole extension was designed by D. Lambert.
The initial fairways and tees were sown with a mixture of fescue, poa pratenis and perennial ryegrass. For annual overseeding of the fairways and tees a mixture of perennial ryegrass was used.
Enjoy your winter sports this year!
