In a typical grass field the yield decreases with the age of the sward. This is a natural consequence of climate, intensive use and the ageing of plants. Weed grasses time after time takes over from the high productive sown species and varieties. Reseeding is the most effective way of renewing grassland – and the investment is normally paid back many times.
