A grazing type
TYRCONNELL is a late diploid variety of Perennial Ryegrass with high yield in late summer and autumn as the strong points. In trials in UK, TYRCONNELL was in top five of the 23 tested varieties for late summer yield - and in top three for autumn production. This makes TYRCONNELL ideal for mixtures used for grazing under conditions where a high production in the late season is required, i.e. for sheep and lamb.
Dense and healthy
TYRCONNELL has good ground cover, good resistance to crown rust and a good feeding value - the D-value being 0.5% above control at the first conservation cut and a 6-7% higher digestible yield under simulated grazing conditions.
