GrassMax overseeding
GrassMax - why?Because older grass fields yield much less than young ones. With increasing age, the sward also becomes more open and infected by weeds.GrassMax - when?Overseeding as part of the planned grassland management is most successful late summer, immediately after cutting or grazing - or in the early spring.GrassMax - how?Remove all surplus grass growth by cutting or hard grazing. If necessary, scarify the area using grass scarifying harrow.Sow at the same time as scarifying with around 25 kg/hectare of the GrassMax seed mixture. A direct driller or a traditional sowing machine can also be used. The seed must in all cases be placed on top of the soil.Immediately after sowing, roll the field to consolidate the ground and ensure a good seed to soil contact.Fertilise 10-15 days after sowing. The new plants must be left for establishment, but the field can be used for light grazing up to 15 days after sowing.
