Perfect play on perfect grass

Where Creeping Bent is First Choice
Creeping bent grass (Agrostis stolonifera) has excellent growth when the conditions are cold winters and hot summers. Creeping bent is dormant during the winter and play is normally not possible. In hot summers creeping bent grows vigorously and provides a top quality putting surface. 

High or Low Input Greens
Creeping bent normally creates a perfect green, but the demand for water, fertilizer and fungicides is quite high. A low input golf green can be obtained by using a mixture of red fescue commutata/trichophylla and Agrostis tenuis (browntop). This mixture can be mowed approximately 1 mm higher than 100% creeping bent grass. Due to the very fine needle shaped leaves of the fine fescues, the speed of the green is normally the same. 

Red Fescue and Browntop
In many ways the combination of red fescue trichophylla/commutata and Agrostis tenuis (browntop) is ideal, thriving very well in mild conditions where it tolerates winter play. Both species are winterhardy so they tolerate the very cold conditions found in semi continental and continental climates.

Poa Reptans
Where shade is a problem in more temperate and cold areas and where humidity is high we can offer the optimal solution - TRUE-PUTT, Poa reptans. This special product from DLF-TRIFOLIUM is a unique answer to many of the problems arising on these greens. It will establish faster than most creeping bents!
