Ryegrass with stolons?

Normally you don't associate stolons with ryegrasses. STOLAWN is an exception. When it is triggered by wear some plants produce stolon-like horizontal growing vegetative parts. There is no scientific name for this behaviour, but you could call it induced pseudo-stolonifirous growth.

Where is the benefit?

Obviously, the benefits are higher in high traffic areas, where bare spots will have a chance to "self-repair" via the surrounding STOLAWN plants

Uses

As one of the ryegrasses in a blend or associated with other turfgrasses in a mixture. The growth habit of STOLAWN makes it easier to establish slow species like Poa pratensis.
