Pedigree

JEOPARDY is a selection in recent high performing pools of Perennial Ryegrass. The breeding work resulted in the selection of 9 clones with homogeneous late heading around May 30.

Passing the hurdles

Together with other families from the same selection it was tested thoroughly in the DLF network across the world in our setup for maximizing identification of multi-resistant and cross performing varieties. JEOPARDY was standing out from the others and is now released with the first commercial production.

Colour retention

The genetic colour is dark green with a good retention through the winter months and with excellent summer appearance and recovery after drought.

Uses

JEOPARDY is suited for high wear sports fields and dense fairways and tees, overseeding of Bermuda grass and as part of repair mixtures for cool season pitches, parks and playgrounds.

Establishment and persistency

JEOPARDY is very fast to germinate and establish and has good persistency.

Mixture design

Where suited, advised to mix with Poa pratensis or fine fescues. Adding one or two other Perennial Ryegrasses in simple mixtures will ensure and widen adaptation.
