Browntop

Creeping Bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.)

Creeping browntop has extremely high, fine and dense shoots, and it tolerates very close cutting (3-5 mm), making it particularly suitable for golf greens, where it is used in pure stand.

Browntop Bent (Agrostis capillaris L.; Agrostis tenuis)

Browntop bent has also a very high shoot density. It is also used on golf greens but in mixtures with commutata and trichophylla red fescue.

It thrives very well under varying conditions and is also used in mixtures for road slopes etc.
