Breeding of Grasses and Clover for Turf

The breeding combines aesthetic and technical qualities in the new improved turf varieties. The goal is attractive varieties which are dense, fine-leafed and green all year, that is, they must tolerate drought, shade, frost, snow and heat, and be resistant to a range of diseases. All this can only be obtained by using a world wide breeding and testing set up as by DLF-TRIFOLIUM, where varieties are beeing breed and tested under very different climatic conditions and use.
