BRUTUS is a green-seeded, semi-leafless protein pea developed by DLF-TRIFOLIUM. In two years trials in Finland it showed very high yield - more than 10% abowe the control. It has a stable, high grain yield and seed with high protein content.

Very High Protein Yield

BRUTUS delivers up to 23,5% protein with a very high protein quality as well as good protein palatability, which is important for food and feeding purposes. Cooking quality is very high - over 96% of the peas are granulated in cooking tests.

Easiness of Harvest

BRUTUS is characterized in long stems with only a very little risk of lodging and in having an outstanding crop height at harvest time. This together with an even ripening behaviour makes the variety really easy to harvest.
