Multi-cut
MAJOR is quite persistent for an annual ryegrass and can produce up to 4 cuts in favourable years.
High quality grazing or conservation (hay or silage)
Although the primary use of annual ryegrasses is conservation as hay or silage, MAJOR can be grazed as well and provides a very high quality forage.
Mixtures
For improved protein content MAJOR can be associated with legumes like red clover and for more complementarity with other annual or Italian ryegrasses.
